1. Can equi-journal run on more than one computer?

Yes, Equi-journal can run on two computers providing you have a running network, or if you have one computer at the house, and one at the stable, you can put the databases on a flashdrive and move them between the two. You must remember which computer has the most up to date database. if you need support with this please contact us.

7. I've purchased a new computer with Vista, and my backed up data bases aren't there, even though I've put them back into the program.

Normally the databases for equi-journal run from the program files folder on your drive C: , but with Vista they run from a Program Files folder within something called Virtual Store. So even though you"ve put the databases back into the program files folder on your drive c : the program wont have you databases. I will try and walk you through the process of putting the databases into the Virtual Store, but if you still have problems dont hesitate to ring us and we will walk you through it over the phone.

Open Windows explorer, (right click on the start menu at the lower left hand side of your screen) and click on explore.
Double click on drive C: (Which might also be Local DIsk C:)
Then click on the Users folder
Then open the folder with your name. If you don't have a folder with your name, you should have an appdata folder to open.
Click on the appdata folder and then open the Local folder.
Inside the Local Folder there will be a folder called Virtual Store.
Open the Virtual Store Folder and inside should be Program Files
Open the program files and then equi-journal, this is where to copy the databases to.

NB
This folder only creates itself once you've tried to run the program and opened a database. So if you haven't run the program for the first time on your vista computer, just put the databases staight into drive c:/programfiles/equi-journal
